We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to streamline our commercial construction project(s) from start to finish.
The ideal candidate will be expected to:
- Plan and supervise construction procedures and ensure the project(s) meet their set deadlines.
- The Operations Manager must have a keen knowledge of all construction methodologies and processes.
- The candidate will also be coordinating a multidisciplinary team of experts to achieve desired results.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage day-to-day operations and monitor the work carried out by the different teams on-site.
- Oversee the project progress throughout the project cycle and implementing cost control to ensure timely completion of the tasks assigned.
- Lead project progress meetings and coordinate with other departments involved.
- Manage cash flow and control expenditures within the budget allocated.
- Identify and manage the resources required (manpower, equipment and materials) and prepare vendor invoices and submittals.
- Coordinate and negotiate with sub-contractors and vendors.
- Must be experienced with construction projects from excavation till finishing/grey structure.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience of 5-7 years with mid-to-large scale commercial projects.
- BSc in engineering, building science, diploma in project management or relevant field.
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material and project management principles.
- Familiarity with quality, health and safety standards.
- Well acquainted with construction/ project management software.
- Good knowledge of MS Office.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects effectively.
