Develop, improve and control of foundry specific manufacturing processes with an aim to minimize scrap and rework.
Plan and lead routine process walks and root cause investigations to identify and quickly resolve production issues.
Develop man-machine systems to efficiently collect and analyze process data.
Work closely with casting design engineers to develop new parts and revisions.
Apply lean techniques to minimize non-value-adding process steps and overall work content.
Identify and implement safety improvements throughout the factory.
Identify training opportunities and generate tools to educate foundry staff on advanced processing and sand casting fundamentals.
Provide expert feedback regarding part quality, process risks, and improvement opportunities.
Design operational metrics to appraise the performance of various foundry departments
Collaborate with customers to develop products with improved safety, reliability and casting quality.
