Senior PHP Developer

We are seeking a Senior PHP Magento Developer with solid experience working with Object Oriented PHP 5 and ideally an MVC framework such as Zend or Symfony or Symfony2. Ideal candidate must be able to work on his own.

Specification

Required Skills:

Expertise in web development (Django, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript)
Experience with server side development and data wrangling (Python, Pandas, Celery, Elasticsearch)
Comfortable using version control (git) and collaborating with a team
Familiarity using the Linux command line (Ubuntu)
Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL
Experience writing tests (Functional, Performance, and Unit Tests)
Some commercial experience working with Magento and Wordpress
Good experience of Database Optimisation and Caching Technologies

Advantageous:

- Experience developing with a (Core PHP) framework such as Zend

- Experience of developing automated tests (using phpUnit/Lime/Selenium)

- Some experience of advanced MySQL topics, such as query optimisation

- Experience with jQuery & jQuery plugins

- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs

- Knowledge with NoSql Databases – Cassandra

- Excellent English communication written or speaking skills
