The Marketing Outreach Coordinator supports, develops, implements, and maintains municipal marketing outreach initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Research, compile and interpret data on Marketing and networking initiatives
2. Monitor, manage, develop, and update content for social media including the municipal website.
3. Design and create graphic information pieces such as brochures, posters, and advertisements.
4. Assist staff to create and manage outreach efforts at special events, trade shows, and other educational meetings, including informational booths, displays and other related materials.
5. Coordinate and assist staff with creating public education and marketing plans and materials to ensure delivery of effective information .
6. Write engaging and informative text for press releases, advertising, and instructional pieces with considerable professional skill and meeting professional standards for writing, style, and grammar.
7. Contribute to the development of business information and opportunity packages.
8. Maintain reference and resource materials.
9. Build networks with business and community partners to promote business and entrepreneurship opportunities.
10. Identify and research private and public sector economic development funding opportunities.
11. Assist with the implementation of the company Development Strategic Plan.
Required Education / Work Experience1. University or college graduate who has graduated within the last three years from an accredited college or university.
The candidate must be a graduate of a post-secondary degree or diploma program in business, marketing and/or related discipline.

7. Work Environment: Work inside a comfortable office environment as well as outside in varying weather conditions and work site settings. Work may involve occasional travel within the Town, Region, and Province.
8. Control over Work Schedule
a. Attend events which may be convened outside normal working hours.
b. Travel outside of the Community is occasionally required for the advancement of Municipal business and/or workshops and conferences.
