Job Description

Responsibilities:

Identification of acutely malnourished children (6 to 59 months) and target PLW’s through MUAC (mid upper arm circumference) measurements and edema observation.

Referring identified acutely malnourished (MAM and SAM) children and target PLW’s for appropriate care and active follow ups of beneficiaries in the community.

Conducting community outreach activities/sessions for mobilization, sensitization, absentee, default tracing and home visits.

Registering the target children and target PLW for MM supplementation on community level.

Ensuring distribution of MM supplements to target children and PLW’s on community level.

Educating mother/caretakers on the proper use of MM supplements.

Disseminating the key impact messages of appropriate and nutritious weaning food in the community.

Supporting FHE/Hygiene educator in conducting community awareness sessions.

Providing IEC materials on community level.

Reporting all events/activities on weekly/daily basis to community mobilizer.

Attaining the appropriate knowledge of anthropometry/health hygiene, SFP, OTP and SC.

Attaining and disseminating the knowledge of local nutritious meals and high density recipes.

Maintaining a good partnership and relationship with CMAM workers present in the area.

In case of any emergency/mishap Community outreach worker should try to do the best by using his/her own personal experince but before undertaking that action he/she must consult team leader/Project coordinator if in case none of them are avaiable then consult the Head office
