Alam Group of Companies is a family owned multi-interest business group with a history and dominance in the leather business for the past 150 years. The group comprises of leather, textile, trading, real estate and construction entities.
Permair Leather Pakistan (Pvt) Limited one of the group concern is a leading manufacturer of high quality Permair and natural leather in Pakistan with a good reputation in the global market. The company has been associated with M/s Porvair Plc-UK since last 28 years. The production capacity of this tannery is 10 million sqft per anum.
Leather Connections (Pvt) Limited, also a joint venture with Porvair Plc-UK, is one of those units managed by this group which happens to be Pakistan\'s largest exporter of value-added leather products.
The group is also running import / export entities engaged in trading of various products. Alam Leather Corporation, Continental Traders, Magoon Enterprises and Alam International handle all the trading.
Furthermore the group is also involved in investing in the real estate sector, construction and stocks outside and inside Pakistan.
Alam Cotton Mills (Pvt) Limited is the first spinning unit in the group and consists of 30,240 spindles producing 100% cotton yarn.
The group is planning to expand their presence in the textile sector by expansion in their current operation in Alam Cotton Mills and in addition the group has also recently formed a new company Alam Weaving Mills (Pvt) Limited which is proposed to have one of the latest weaving machinery available in the market.
