Job Description
As a Senior Software Engineer (as CONSULTANT) you will part of a team of our top engineers building Conure's next generation platform services. You will design and build highly reliable systems and work on core services which power our platform. The right candidate will be a highly motivated team player, who has a passion for building robust platforms.
- Build robust and scalable web services in Java. Familiarity with Play Framework desired but not mandatory
- Design and architect Restful back-end services for our platform.
- Recommends system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchase alternatives.
- Work with business and product teams to understand requirements and translate them into high quality and flexible end to end solutions
- Help improve the code quality through writing unit tests, automation and performing code reviews
- Work on big data technologies like Hadoop, Apache Spark and Vertica for ETL
- Build reporting systems that utilizes NoSQL as well as traditional SQL data backends
Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience building systems using Java and SOA.
- Experience in Web-based applications development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, JSON and various industry leading platforms and/or frameworks.
- Professional experience programming against both relational databases SQL, Postrgres, HP Vertica and NoSQL data stores (Cassandra, Redis, etc.)
- Experience with Unix/Linux and scripting languages.
- Akka, Play! Framework, spray experience a plus.
- Required experience: Back-end Development, 5 years
- Required education: Bachelor'
