As Creative Chaos’ Principal Software Engineer you will be responsible for the design & implementation of a variety of software solutions in addition to developing, modifying and maintaining existing software. The ideal candidate must be well organized with pleasant personality and promoter of Creative Chaos culture and values.
Duties and Responsibilities
§ Developing existing systems by analyzing and identifying areas for modification.
§ Providing production support
§ Ensure adherence to engineering processes such as code reviews, source control, unit testing, use case analysis, defect management.
§ Responding promptly and professionally to bug reports.
§ Creating technical specifications and test plans (when needed).
§ Constantly updating technical knowledge and skills by attending in-house and/or external courses, reading manuals and accessing new applications.
§ Attend client’s calls and actively participate in the sprint meetings.
§ Demonstrate initiative, ownership, and customer-service skills, with the motivation and ability to function independently or as a team member.
§ Professional manners, demonstrated ability to take initiative and interact with all levels of management and adapt to business needs.
Skills Required
Must Haves
§ Excellent understanding and working knowledge of
o Java
o Spring Ecosystem
o Hibernate
o Linux
o Tomcat
§ Strong understanding of software design patterns.
§ Proven experience of providing production support
Nice to Haves:
§ Knowledge of CI/CD processes
§ Understanding of Hadoop
§ Working knowledge of JavaScript frameworks
Requirement
§ 5+ years of work experience, working in a similar role with ability to work actively in the team.
§ At least Bachelor’s degree in software engineering / Computer Science from a local or international university.
§ Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
§ Client Facing Skills and presentable personality.
