A Software Development Manager is responsible for providing leadership, project planning and ensuring that projects are completed to the specification, within an established timeframe and budget.

Responsibilities:

Define, plan, organize, coordinate, manage and deliver multiple development projects/ simultaneously in a scrum-based agile environment.
Monitor project progress and make detailed reports on milestones and deliverables by keeping the scope, budget, and timeline under control.
Communicate clearly and concisely with cross-functional teams and management.
Accountable for on-time and quality delivery. Provide leadership and ensures visibility, accountability and tight timelines, identify & mitigate risks before the projects are impacted.
Software product release deployments into a variety of environments.
Communicate proactively with all involved stakeholders to get feedback, identify problems, create solutions and implement efficiency improvements.
Must have advance understanding of the enterprise-level cloud-based systems including front-end, back-end, design, engineering, testing, databases concerns.
Must have successfully managed Cloud Computing (AWS, Google, Microsoft etc.), Restful APIs, and All Major CMS based IT projects.
Knowledge of professional software engineering practises for the full software development life cycle and coding standards.
Monitor KPIs and SOPs to assess technological performance.
Define processes within the engineering team and make sure everyone follows them.
MS/BS in Computer Science from a reputable university.
5+ years of technical project management experience.

Essential Skills:

Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
Demonstrated understanding of Agile Project Management processes, strategies and methods
Experience mentoring, coaching and developing rising talent in the technology department
Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines.
Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising teams.
Managerial experience applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles
