We are looking for a Data Scientist who has experience in analyzing large data sets in distributed environments such as Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have a passion for discovering patterns from data and working with internal stakeholders to understand business problems.

Responsibilities:

Work on cross-functional R&D teams and business-unit data scientists/analysts, doing hands-on machine learning research
Accelerate the deployment of reproducible machine learning models by helping the business set and apply current best practices, including the use of open-source software, container-based or serverless cloud platforms, and self-service operating models.
Develop common DS/machine learning tools and infrastructure across the business.
Set the standards for statistical testing and experimental design, as well as other quality standards such as testing coverage, code review, etc. for data science

Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related analytical disciplines
Nice to have a certificate in Machine learning or Data Science
3+ years of experience in applied statistical analysis and machine learning in a software development environment, ideally using Natural Language Processing
A deep understanding of probability theory, statistics, and multivariate calculus
Extensive experience analyzing data and a broad understanding of core statistical and machine learning techniques.
Strong scripting and engineering skills in Python and R
proficiency in using query languages such as SQL
Knowledge of Machine learning libraries such as tensorflow, Kaffe, PyTorch
Knowledge of data structures and algorithms
Experience in a high growth agile software development environment (Scrum or Kanban)
Ability to accept suggestions for improvement and willingness to stay on task until the job is done.
Demonstrated ability to perform high-quality work both independently and collaboratively.
