We’re looking for a highly-motivated person with solid embedded software development skills, strong familiarity with designing and implementing software of embedded devices and systems, designing, developing, coding, testing and debugging system software, analyzing and enhancing efficiency, stability and scalability of system resources, understanding of underlying electronics to the point where it influences firmware development and debugging. Familiarity with testing and security procedures. And to see out a project from conception to final product, requiring good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement software of embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment
Design, develop, code, test and debug system software
Review code and design
Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability and scalability of system resources
Integrate and validate new product designs
Support software QA and optimize I/O performance
Provide post production support
Interface with hardware design and development
Assess third party and open source software

Skills:

Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets
Strong C / C++ & Python programming experience a must
Proven experience in embedded systems design with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems
Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review
Excellent knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces and hardware subsystems
Have Experience with Linux operating system
Have Good understanding of Git / GitHub, GitFlow workflow and version control using Git
Adequate knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components
Prior experience of using linux, kernel programing.
Virtualization/ hypervisor/ Qemu development experience
Must be familiar with coding practices to quickly adapt to existing code in order to be able to adjust it, debug it, and create clean pull requests
Experience with TCP/IP communications incl. MQTT
Basic understanding of command line tools: ssh, screen / tmux, an editor, shell, etc.
Provide feedback for continuous improvement of processes
Strong documentation and writing skills.
Experience in Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) concepts/ environments/ tools, including creating/ following coding standards.
