Senior Software Developer / Head of development

The requirements/role:

We are seeking a dynamic senior software developer to join our team who will be acting as the lead developer and managing a small team of IT resources.

We are looking for an individual who has relevant experience, professional and demonstrates good leadership and communication skills and meets our core business values and objectives and establish our core operations within Islamabad, Pakistan.

·       Degree in relevant field such as Computer science from a recognised institution.

·       Problem solver, logical thinker, leadership skills, communication skills, project management skills, results orientated, adaptable, flexible, can-do attitude, organization skills, work with industry standard software tools, experience in agile software development, analytical thinker.

·       Experienced in Python, Django, Node.JS, React.JS, ReactNative, MySQL, MongoDB Elasticsearch, WordPress (PHP).

·       Experienced in working with Data science, Artificial intelligence, Machine learning, Big data.

·       Proficient in creating API (web services)

·       Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as GIT

·       Understands the Software/Web application development life cycle.

·       Experience in data security, web application security, cloud and sever side security.

·       Experience in software deployment, scalability, cloud infrastructure and system architecture.

·       Manage other team members, ensure everyone is working up to standard. Will be the lead developer.

·       Must be a team player

·       Experience in web application design, development and implementation

·       Experience in hybrid mobile app development (react native)

·       Problem solving – coming up with innovative technical solutions

·       Improve current UI/UX design based on client requirements.

·       Project management - work to project timelines and deadlines, also ensuring all team members are working to project timelines and deadlines

·       Ability to integrate, update, manage third party API’s

·       Ensure all code and design is at international coding standards

·       Ensure all code and design is proprietary

·       Following agile methodology of software development

·       Aware of the full end-end software development cycle

·       Ensure all code is functional and bug free

·       Manage and improve web/product/system architecture

·       Assist with the recruitment process for hiring junior developers.

·       Take part in support and monitoring of our websites/application.

·       Develop new features and improve code quality by pair programming with other team members.

·       Develops software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.

·       Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.

·       Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clean code.

·       Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.

·       Improves operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures.

·       Updates job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

·       Protects operations by keeping information confidential.

·       Provides information by collecting, analysing, and summarizing development and service issues.

·       Accomplishes engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

·       Supports and develops software engineers by providing advice, coaching and educational opportunities.

·       Develop High-quality software design and associated architecture

·       Identify, prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycle

·       Develop tools and applications by producing efficient bug free code

·       Automate tasks where possible using appropriate tools and scripting

·       Review and debug code

·       Manage and mitigate risks

·       Develop function specifications based on requirements

·       Lead a team of junior developers/engineers

·       Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability.

·       Maintain code integrity and organization.

·       Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performance efficient applications.

·       Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
