Senior Software Engineer/ Team Lead

Require a strong technical background, excellent client and project management skills, proven ability to do hands on technical work when needed, and ability to lead projects and teams.

Successful candidates must be action oriented, capable of independently solving complex technical problems and able to communicate clearly and effectively to both technical and business audiences.

Responsibilities:

Data acquisition, data mining, and analysis techniques to social
Ability to design and evaluate data collection approaches
Use API’s in order to tap into public data sources
Creating and managing protocols for the analysis of passively collected information
Work closely with a team of developers and researchers to conduct scholarly work at the intersection of social media and news
Must be able to switch between these methodologies and should have ability to tailor them according to the project needs.
Ensure project tasks are completed on time and within scope.
Motivate team members to action; identify common themes, make inferences and draw conclusions.
Strong influencing skills and the ability to interact with senior management.

Note: Don't apply if you do not have Software House experience and you have not worked on Social Media APIs or News RSS feeds.

Skill Set:

Excellent knowledge of browser/ web server interaction.
Hands on Experience on Open source search engine, Web Crawlers and web scrapping.
Good knowledge and understanding of Web Service API’s for integration purposes
Having good knowledge of Data mining and information security.
Extensive knowledge of web technologies and scripting language like :- C#, ASP.NET/Silverlight/WPF/Web forms, Web Services/WCF, MS SQL, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQUERY, JSON, AJAX and angular JS
Have Ability to design and optimize SQL Server & stored procedures.
Experience with Big Data storage is a plus (Hadoop, etc.)
