This is a remote job - You will be assigned to work with an IT company in the UK and required to work remotely (i.e., from home/ your own premises) during UK working hours. You must have a proper set up to be able to work remotely.

Technical Skills

You will have broad experience across the SME tech stack that gives you the ability to participate in all stages of User, PC and Server support as well as projects (Excluding planning and specification), installations, deployment and configuration, documentation, ongoing support, troubleshooting.

  • Networking skills across routing, switching & WiFi to support networks serving 10 users to 300 users. Subject matter high level knowledge of VLANs and WiFi setup and troubleshooting using multiple vendors including Watchguard, Netgear, Unifi and Mikrotik.
  • Windows Server including virtualisation with Hyper-V
  • Storage in a virtualised environment
  • Database familiarity with MS SQL Server
  • Desktop skills including Office 365 and familiarity with a broad range of Line of Business applications including those with complex requirements.
  • Cloud skills including Microsoft 365 and Azure. With training and certifications in these.
  • ITIL standards and the day to day application of these

Responsibilities

  • ServiceDesk Cover as part of a small Level1/2 Pod of call answerers and ticket responders.
  • Triage Tickets and ensure SLAs are met
  • ServiceDesk Ticket resolutions within SLAs
  • Participate in projects and migrations (Excluding planning and specifications)
  • Act as a point of escalation on the service desk to complete Service desk tickets.
  • Constantly contribute to the improvement of technical and operational documentation, policies and procedures. Good processes are a key growth driver and you will help to constantly define and improve processes.
  • Contribute to the adoption and creation of internal and external technical standards
  • Promote learning, development and sharing of knowledge within and outside of the team
  • Encourage and act on any opportunities to improve the way that we deliver services to our clients, for example deeper automation, simplification of process or better communication
  • Operation of our RMM and MDM tools and platform.
  • Ensure that the quality of our work is nothing short of first class – every ticket, task & project.
  • We constantly evaluate new tech, new services and better ways of doing what we do. You must always be learning and exploring new and better ways of doing everything that we do.
