Job Title: Secretary General of the Association
Reporting to: Chairman & Board of Directors Executive Committee
Background
Livestock Input Companies i.e. companies which supply inputs and services to dairy and beef farms are joining hands to establish a Dairy Inputs Association. This position will contribute to the registration and efficient running of the association.
Job Description
To lead the work of the Association, act as its operational figurehead, provide strategic advice and support to the Chairman & Board members and through overall management of the Association’s resources to deliver the business plan.
Duties Responsibilities
1. Coordinate with relevant regulatory agencies esp. DGTO
2. Implement the registration process and manage the affairs of the association as per rules and regulations
3. Coordinate the creation and approval of annual budgets, association policies and by laws etc
4. To coordinate all strategy policy development actions, programmes and projects as well as ensure concrete implementation and fulfilment of objectives and priorities.
5. To represent the Association, to lead its external relations and promote its objective.
6. To ensure a proactive and integrated approach to all internal and external communications.
7. To liaison with relevant government departments, private sector, academia etc.
8. To advise on policy, secure the formulation and delivery of work programmes and the development and delivery of projects.
9. To have very good relation with all members of the Association and provide Assistance as and when required.
10. To arrange Board meetings, AGMs, GBM, Committees & Sub-Committee meetings and drafting minutes.
11. To prepare administrative reports for office bearers.
Criteria
1. Bachelors / Masters in Management LLB.
2. Minimum 3 Years’ experience of working on same position.
3. Excellent communication skills (writing, reading, spoken).
4. Must have good command on Computer Softwares especially MS Office.
5. Basic knowledge about the agriculture and livestock sector is a plus.
6. Must be aware of the necessary federal and provincial rules and regulations regarding associations
