Deezon is looking for a seasoned Front-End Developer to join our highly motivated remote development team.
He will be responsible for developing high-performance, optimized WordPress-based themes and plugins primarily using PHP/HTML/CSS, configuring content management interfaces within WordPress, and entering complex content in page builders. The development will include theme and extension configuration as well as custom theme development.
What you’ll do:
- Develop responsive WordPress sites and landing pages
- Optimizing speed and performance of the website
- Perform extensive optimization database
- Identify bottlenecks affecting the performance of the website
- Develop WordPress plugins with custom functionality and enhance the functionality of existing plugins (e.g. Woocommerce)
- Customize WordPress themes
- Work closely with the creative team & PM to match visual design intent
- Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
- Collaborate with SEO specialist on metadata implementation and best practices
- Communicate with the project managers on product timing and deliverables
- Work with digital team to implement analytics/campaign tracking tags
- Manage 3rd party API integration
- Perform website migrations
Job Requirements:
- Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
- Proficiency in PHP/MYSQL and AJAX
- Strong knowledge of WordPress Platform (plugins, theme customizations, shortcodes, etc.)
- Expertise in WordPress Custom Theme Development and Plugin Development
- Front end development & basic design skills
- The ability to work in a LAMP development environment
- Experience with GitHub (or other Git-based platforms)
- A thorough understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues
- Understanding of W3C Web Standards/Semantics and Accessibility Guidelines
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science
- Great attention to detail, highly organized
- Excellent written and spoken English
- A reliable PC with a Camera, Headset, reliable internet, and power (UPS/generator, etc.)
- The availability to work at least 40 hours per week
Nice to Have's:
- Understanding of Clickfunnels and various CRMs (Infusionsoft, ActiveCampaign, etc.)
- Photoshop & Illustrator
