Well organized with excellent planning skills The Junior Merchandiser will assist with planning and managing the department sales, stock, and markdowns to maximize sales and achieve margin, and achieve terminal stock targets.
The Junior Merchandiser will have previous experience in Apparel Company with 5-year experience for managing a category or small area alone.
Previous experience from an Apparel manufacturing company is an advantage.
Experience at a Junior Merchandiser or Assistant Merchandiser or a similar level for 5 years is desirable.

Main Duties:

Manage the production with 3rd party manufacturing company
Work with team to produce department product strategy in line with overall company strategy
Create weekly phased plans by category for sales, margin, stock, and markdown
Create a range plan at grade level which satisfies strategic demand and supply requirements
Work closely with the team to develop and select a balanced and commercial range that delivers the product strategy.
Together with the Buyer, input into and implement a supply chain strategy that sets out short, medium, and long-term plans for supplier partnerships, development, and improvement.
Review, propose and reduce cost markdown events, control the costing of product calculating the effect on margin and profit.
Manage the availability of stock to ensure launch dates are met.

Skills and Experience:

• Business related degree

• Proven track record in an apparel manufacturing company as merchandising

• Highly numerate and able to interpret data to make decisions

• Manage budgets

• Strong presentation skills
