The primary duties of the Financial Business Analyst (FBA) are to recommend and implement methods for increasing the Company’s efficiency and profitability. Duties include analysis of the company's business model and finances to make recommendations for improvements in budgeting, operations, and management. The FBA will also be responsible for timely and comprehensive financial analysis of acquisition targets.

Merger & Acquisition activities

Evaluate the acquisition target’s financial reports, such as income statements, cash flow statements, and balance sheets, and determine how a company’s finances will impact business operations.
Synthesize multiple data sources and conclude the “bigger picture” for the management team.
Build financial models to evaluate different scenario/sensitivity analyses
Prepare board presentations for approval of go/no-go decisions
Execute post-merger integration plans within defined budgets and timelines
Analyze performance of acquired companies versus plan

Pricing Model

Analyze, improve, and maintain pricing models and tools
Work with Sales and Sales Operations teams on pricing structures of complex proposals

Data Integrity

Compare and correct data to improve overall data quality
Work with Finance Department to improve practices/facilitate reporting
Reconcile data between tools and reports

Qualifications & Experience

7+ years experience working as a Financial Business Analyst
3+ years working in a technology company
Proven financial savvy and analytical ability
Highly organized/multitask in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Must be highly analytical and detailed oriented
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
