Key Responsibilities
Working collaboratively with our globally distributed teams you will:
- Lead project assignments with little oversight
- Coordinates and manages the entire project including scope, following up on project activities, schedule, resources and quality by working in a matrix-based organization with the engineering / product delivery teams
- Leading DevOps deployments, application development, Cloud Migrations and infrastructure implementations
- Manage the relationship with clients, manage communications between the clients and the internal teams
- In the execution phase, manage milestones for successful, on-time, on-budget completion, providing reporting as necessary against baseline schedule
- In the closing phase, conduct post-project lessons learned meetings and ensure identified improvements are incorporated in our tools and processes
- Maintain and report on Risk, Actions, Issues and Decision (RAID Log) for projects
- Prepare status updates (project dashboard and status reports) and lead project reviews
- Collaborate with fellow project managers on project staffing and task allocation,standardization, and process improvements]
- Provide feedback to technical team leads on the performance of the project team.
Qualifications and experience you will need
- Degree in Computer Science or in a related field
- Project Management training and certification desirable (e.g. Project Management Institute (PMI) certified, as a PMP)
- Minimum of 2 years of IT project management experience including managing digital transformation teams in an agile and waterfall environment
IT Project Management experience preferred in any of the following:
- IT systems, enterprise or infrastructure management, network security, application development and management, business applications and/or analytics, enterprise ecosystems; helpdesks and managed solutions are an asset.
- Working knowledge using JIRA or similar tools
