Summary

The E-commerce Business Development Manager position will be responsible for achieving sales growth in the rapidly expanding E-commerce market segment. In this role, the E-commerce Business Development Manager will be responsible for providing the executive leadership with the analyses and information necessary to deploy growth strategies.

The successful E-commerce Business Development Manager will have responsibility for bringing field intelligence including voice of the customer, competitive and ground level intelligence together with macro market and industry data, to create a base of knowledge that supports growth in the E-commerce industry. This person must be able to work cross-functionally to achieve sales targets while also providing valuable input to the development of NPI. The ideal candidate will have a track record of successful development and contribution to the execution of strategies, a history of hitting business targets, with a true ownership mentality.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for defining relevant market segment, building sales pipeline, and developing relationships for current and future opportunities. The needs of the industry from a technical standpoint and how Tradeline can develop products and services to generate more business.
  • Drives Tradeline marketplace initiatives including d2c, subscription and wholesale business models.
  • Acts as a liaison in execution of various growth initiatives in the development of Tradeline marketplace.
  • Works directly with clients, listen to issues and resolve those them in timely manner.
  • Utilizes CRM to build sales pipeline and track achievement to sales goals. Develops pricing strategy for new products and new accounts.
  • Identifies and monitors short-term and long-term industry trends with a point of view toward impact to the company.
  • Focuses on helping grow the company business by identifying strategic business opportunities.
  • Partners with executive leadership in providing detailed analysis presentation leadership team.
  • Provides recommendation for market strategy that is supported by research and data.
  • Gathers marketplace intelligence that leads to business opportunities and to stay ahead on rapidly changing business environment and consumer needs.  
  • Acts as a partner and thought leader working cross functionally with sales, R&D and product management functions to develop actionable commercial marketing strategies for our largest segments and prioritized markets.
  • Engages stakeholders across the organization to ensure successful attainment of strategic and growth objectives.
  • Profiles and targets new market and segment opportunities from which to develop/increase revenue streams.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree preferred in Computer Science, Economics, MBA, Finance or related fields. Bachelor’s Degree in related fields from top universities could be considered.
  • 7+ years in sales/new business development/marketing development.
  • Growth focused and able to achieve sales targets.
  • Data driven, highly analytical leader to drive revenue increasing decisions from historical data and competitive marketplace analysis.
  • Extensive knowledge of PC, databases, technical tools, strong skills of Excel. Knowledge of SQL, VBA or other programming skills is highly desirable.   
  • Effective presentation, excellent written and verbal communication skills in English language.
  • Experience of online marketplaces as Amazon, eBay, etc. is highly preferred
  • Detail oriented, able to manage multiple priorities.
