Simple Self Drive is going through a digital transformation and is looking to build a customised platform to support its business needs.
We are looking to hire an Architect / Development Lead to start this journey with us in building a new software organisation which will build out the platform Simple Self Drive has envisioned.
The new platform will initially be a combination of CRM, Billing, Payments and Asset management components. However, the goal is to integrate Telematics with Machine learning. There will also be aspects of Mobile development.
Job Description / Requirements
The ideal candidate should be a strong leader with hands-on experience in development. The candidate will be responsible for the initial architecture of the platform. The candidate will also be responsible for building/growing the development team(s).
Below is an outline of the experience we would like the candidate to have. We appreciate it is not possible to know everything and what we are looking for is someone who is strong in some of the areas and familiar with others so that the candidate can architect the platform and lead a team of developers in creating the end product.
- High Level
- 10+ year of development experience
- Good Software Design and Architecture skills
- Modern Architecture design SOA/Microservices
- Modern technology stack
- Java / .Net / Python
- NodeJS / React / Javascript
- AWS / GCP / Docker
- PostgresDB, MongoDB
- Kafka, Redis
- iOS/Android
- Coding
- Strong development experience in OOP languages such as, Java, .Net, Kotlin and or interpreted language such as Python
- Git version control -
- Good development experience in Javascript (NodeJS / React)
- HTML5 / CSS experience
- API development experience and documentation via Swagger
- Payment system development/integration
- Streaming technologies
- Mobile development
- SDLC
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Gitlab etc...
- Experience with testing (Junit, Pytest etc.)
- Experience with code quality standards via tools such as SonarQube
- Infrastructure
- Good understanding of Cloud computing AWS or GCP etc…
- Good understanding of Docker (Running in a containerised environment)
- Management / Leadership
- Managed / Lead a team of at least 5 developers
- Responsible for filling open development headcount
