1. Monitoring overall operations of the pump house, keeping pumps and floor of the pump station neat & clean.
2. Didmentalling/assemling the pumps for repairs, keeping flow meters and pressure guages in constant surveillance during pumps operations, complete understanding of the panel of pumps, Analyze problems and take appropriate action to ensure continuous and reliable working of equipment and systems.
3. Switch from automatic to manual controls & isolate equipment mechanically& electrically to allow for safe inspection & repair works.
4. Monitor & inspect equipment,computer terminals, switches, valves, guages, alarms, safety devices and meters to detect leaks /malfunctionsand to ensure that equipment is operating efficiently and safely. Communicating with irrigation crew through telephone or walky talky to maintain proper flow of irrigation water, opening and closing of the pump station.
5. The responsibilities of the operator are not limited to the written ones but as per the situation arises onsite while working under MEP.
6. The personnel must be able and fit to work in all weather condition onsite.
7. Willing to stay overtime shifts and conceding to work 7 day a week if need arises.
