Understanding the corporate application’s hosting environments and related technologies, and devising ways to boost application performance on these platforms.

Installation and administration of Oracle databases 10g + 11g on Linux
Deployment and basic configuration of UNIX/Linux distributions.
Configure and manage Oracle Standby DB
Backups and Recovery using RMAN and Datapump.
Managing database security/integrity and backup procedures
Writing disaster recovery plans
Archiving data
Performance Tuning of the DB server.
Implementing high availability and scale-able solutions for databases
Troubleshoot database related issues
