Oversight

Nemesis Asset Management LLP is an independent asset management company based in London.  The company has seen rapid growth over the last 12 months and continues to grow in 2022.  The company also provides middle and back office services to our other office in Monaco and we are looking at expanding into Switzerland this year.  London is the operational hub of the entire group.  In 2021, Nemesis Asset Management LLP set up FGK Back Office Services in Islamabad as an offshore centre that supports the London operations.  Due to the success of this office, we are now looking to hire additional people to support this office.

Role

The company is looking for a dynamic individual who is passionate about building a career in financial services and in particular operations.  The individual should have 2-3 years’ relevant experience in a finance related back office role.  Initially the individual will spend time with the Operations Team Lead in order to understand the role of operations within the company.  The role will involve both manual and automated stock and cash reconciliations.  The reconciliation will be completed on a daily basis to meet the requirements of the business.

Tasks

  • Daily asset class (equity/fixed income/other asset classes) and cash reconciliation of accounts
  • Daily monitoring of accounts as defined in training and training manual
  • Completion of daily check lists and submitted to Operations Team Lead
  • Monitoring of performance data
  • Investigating any queries raised by the Front Office
  • Some ad-hoc administration tasks.
  • Assisting the month-end process.
  • Understanding of corporate actions

Systems

  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Bloomberg
  • Macro writing and/or VBA is an advantage but not a prerequisite

Skill Sets Required

  • Qualified to graduate level from a recognized university with majors in Finance or Banking or Management.
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience with banking or financial institution or finance department of reputed organization.
  • Basic level understanding of asset management operations, and its relevant accounting system.
  • Minimum 1 years of prior experience of working on any management software or Accounting Software or Data Management System.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
  • All communication will be in English
  • Self-starter and motivated
  • Willing to work as part of a team

This is an office-based role that offers a competitive salary and benefits. 

The hours will be based on Islamabad hours of work 9am to 6pm (Morning Shift). 

Public holidays are based on Pakistan holiday calendar.
