UX / UI Designer

Friday Media Group is a business with an international scope. We have a 40-year history, owning over 30 different brands across multiple fields, making us experts in various industries. Our primary purpose is to bring people and businesses together in niche industries across the globe. We do this in 4 key areas: Marketplace Websites, Job Boards, E-Commerce brands and most recently, Web Services.

Our Barcelona office is the creative hub of the company! Our top team of graphic and UX/UI designers works from sunnier climes in a small office in the center of Barcelona. We are searching for an experienced UX/UI designer to work from Lahore office with the creative team from Barcelona, product and data teams from the UK office and developers from our Bangalore office.

Key responsibilities:

We are looking for an experienced and outstanding UX/UI designer to start working right away with our most prominent web service brand, Spidersnet, where we build high performing websites and dealer management systems for dealers within several niche industries: automotive mainly, but also marine, firearms and equine. You will report directly to the Head of design from Barcelona. Must be someone with experience across the multifaceted aspects of UI and Visual design as well as UX research methodologies. A self-starter who can learn quickly!

Skills required:

6+ years of design background with evidence of strong expertise in UX/UI and Product.
Experience working for international companies and working on UX for overseas brands.
Have advanced skills in Sketch (essential!), prototyping tools like Invision as well as basic notions of HTML and CSS.
Must be someone with experience building and maintaining design systems and component libraries. Experience working with the Abstract is a plus!
Have proven experience designing mobile apps for Android and iOS
Experience working in an Agile environment.
A high level of English and excellent communication skills (verbal and written) are essential!
Be passionate about design, technology and web products and services and be up to date on last trends and tools.
Extraordinary attention to detail.
Apply design thinking and user-centered design methodologies. Strong knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research techniques and methodologies. Data-driven and holistic design approach.
Design experience working for the automotive industry would be a plus!

Media Group Headquarters is in England, UK.
