To work closely with clients and users in order to make sure that Project designs match their needs and are functiona, safe and economical.

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

To design and develop projects assigned.
To discuss the objectives, requirements and budget of a project.
To prepare and present feasibility reports.
To determine the materials to be used and specify the requirements for the project.
To design proposals for the clients.
To use IT in design and project management, specifically using computer-aided design software like AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Sketch up Studio 3D Mix etc.
To keep within financial budgets and deadlines.
To produce detailed working drawings and specifications.
To specify the nature and quality of materials required.
To prepare tender applications and presentations.
To prepare tender documents for contracts.
To manage projects and help to coordinate the work with contractors.
To control a project from start to finish.
To visit site to check on progress, ensuring that the project is running on time and to budget.
To resolve problems and issues that arises during construction.

Skills Required:

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
High levels of creativity, imagination and vision.
A keen interest in the built environment and the dedication to see projects to their conclusion.
Willingness to work long hours, under time and budget pressure.
Excellent design and drafting skills and proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD).
Strong mathematical skills.
Organizational, project management and planning skills, including the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
An analytical mind with excellent problem-solving ability.
