Senior Software Engineer - Android

Gaditek is in search of a Software Engineer (Android) who thrives in a fast-paced and challenging environment while working on complex problems with a talented team— conceptualizing, developing, and implementing applications and features from scratch using the latest technologies.

• This role requires a creative technology team member.
• Someone who is responsible for high-quality delivery of a range of projects, leveraging their skills in Andriod Development.
• We need someone who has the technical experience and loves to focus on iteratively building and improving existing and new products, is self-motivated and inspired to explore new vistas, and will both support and lead initiatives that will take us to new levels of excellence.

• This is why we are searching for someone who has foundational technical knowledge and experience working with PHP but has the openness to adopt programmatic thinking to help us create understanding and solving problems.

Once you are here, you will:

• Take ownership of the teams' execution plan and behave as a catalyst to deliver the priorities.
• The right candidate must be a team player. 
• Coordinate and gel with other team members to come up with reasonable solutions to their problems. 
• Sometimes, this requires being the eyes and ears for the senior members of the team and covering their blind spots.
• Practice agility as it is our choice of the process we like everyone to be a part of it.
• You must practice and improve it as you go along finding the shortcomings. 
• Execute BAU tasks and be as lean as possible. As mentioned above, take ownership even beyond your teams' boundaries; When the need asks, go and talk to various individuals in teams to get the BAU sorted out.
• Deliver tasks timely. You must make sure that all work commitments are met on a timely basis.
• If something doesn't feel like it is doable, strike a conversation with your manager to help you out. A hands-on person, ready to take the challenge for the need of time.
• Mentor and coach the team as and when required.
• Although mentorship isn't a key requirement from you, however, since we like our employees to grow, it would be nice to take charge when possible.
• After all, a day would come, you would blend in as a leader in the team.

Relevant Experience:

• A hands-on person, ready to take the challenge for the need of time.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of software and system architectures; design patterns knowledge is highly appreciated.
• Having a knack for writing clean software is a must.
• Our day in and day out is on Android, hence its thorough knowledge is a must.
• As for the tools, the candidate must know Java, Kotlin, Android Studio, DI, Jetpack Libraries to name a few.
• We like design patterns as it helps our vocabulary (e.g. most commonly followed patterns such as MVC, MVVM, MVI, Repository Pattern, Singleton, etc.).
• Our work culture is pretty agile. Hence, knowing how agility works would be a definite help.
