Job Summary: Evercare Hospital Lahore, a project of Gate Healthcare 1 Pak (Private) Limited is an emerging 270 bedded multi-specialty facility located in Lahore, Pakistan. The hospital which will be commencing operations in Q1 2018, is part of an international healthcare group whose mission is to provide quality healthcare to the aspiring middle classes in Pakistan, through investment in hospitals, clinics, and diagnostic centers.

Manager Supply Chain & Contract Management will provide leadership for all purchasing, warehouse, logistics and shipping activities with an effort to control costs while also improving efficiency and accuracy in the management of the supply chain function.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Manages and accountable for Procurement, Inventory Management, Distribution Centers, Vendor Management function.
Collect, review and analyze information regarding strategies, plans, policies and procedures based on operational analysis to maximize current operations or to plan for operational changes.
Provide leadership and direction for senior management team through coaching, supporting and developing direct reports; establishing annual performance objectives, conducting performance assessments, and identifying opportunities for skill development.
Establish objectives for the hospital and formulate or approve policies and programs.
Supervise staff; including training, setting expectations and holding team members accountable, including progressive discipline
Selection, development and assessment of staff
Develop key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of the material management operations
Develop and communicate material management policies, procedures, and internal controls
Plan, organize, direct, manage and evaluate the material management activities
Ensure that all transactions are kept current, recorded accurately, and processed efficiently
Ensure that all transactions are representative of the reality of the business and that any estimates are made with consistently applied, business-reasonable rationale.
Oversee the purchasing, shipping, logistics, receiving and material handling of the organization
Conduct investigations to determine causes of material management related
Incidents and to improve safety procedures
Negotiate long term contracts with suppliers
Ensure all tasks are performed with the highest regard for safety, as outlined in our Safety Manual

Eligibility Criteria:

Master’s in Supply Chain Management or relevant field.
10-12 years of experience in similar capacity (Experience in Healthcare is preferred).
Evidence of setting attainable targets and innovative solutions.
Exhibits energy, enthusiasm and resilience to drive through and achieve end results.
Understanding of the broader strategic and policy context for delivery of health services.
Extensive leadership and operational management experience in a medium/large acute healthcare provider setting
Experience of effective partnership and working with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience of operational and capacity planning to meet organizational performance targets.
Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities and to prioritize scheduling of work
Ability to maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial, and legal information
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Critical thinking and problem solving skills
Persuasiveness/ Negotiating skills
Stress tolerance
