We are looking to hire a skilled Magento developer to build and maintain eCommerce websites for our clients. As a Magento developer, you will be responsible for liaising with the design team, setting up Magento sites, building modules and customizing extensions, testing the performance of each site, and maintaining security and feature updates after the installation is complete.

To ensure success as a Magento developer, you should have excellent object-orientated programming knowledge, hold certifications for Java and Magento development, and be able to project manage. Ultimately, a high-level Magento developer can build and maintain a user-friendly eCommerce platform that perfectly meets the needs of the client.

About you:

You are an accomplished Magento developer building high quality software using Magento 2.
You take pride in your work, ensuring that we delight users with our software and make their lives easier every day.
You demonstrate the ability to prioritise your work, and help unblock others, in accordance with sprint goals.
You have experience in building, configuring and maintaining Magento 2 eCommerce websites.
You display ownership, responsibility and good decision-making.
You have a strong understanding of software industry development standards, applying them appropriately to the scenario at hand.
You have a good understanding of source code management best practice (using Git), and ability to troubleshoot issues.
You have the ability and motivation to test your own work and that of others to ensure we maintain our high quality standards.
You are comfortable writing clear and detailed technical documentation.
Excellent command of English is a MUST.

Day-to-day, you will:

Will be required to work 9am-5:30pm (remotely)
Work closely and directly with our partners to succeed in delivering first class solution
Manage and resolve support requests for Magento.
Take ownership of key technical components or areas of code.
Actively contribute to refinement, and take responsibility for understanding scope, risk and complexity of changes from inception through to delivery.
Contribute to the continuous development of processes and improvements.
Understand, identify and adhere to design patterns, coding standards and Definition of Done.
Creation of technical documentation where required

As a well-rounded Magento Developer your Skills and Experiences likely include:

3+ years experience working with Magento 2
Experience in UX best practices for eCommerce websites
Ability to write HTML is a plus
Responsive design & modern CSS knowledge
Git-based Source Control
