IT Specialist

Greenovative Solutions provides services to different industries to help manage their plastic, paper and metal waste. Founded in Montreal, Canada, we have expanded to the US, Mexico and Pakistan, with processing facilities in the US and Pakistan.

We are strong advocates for the environment and believe recycling is a key factor rather than a singular solution to climate change. We are looking to expand our team.

The IT Supecialist will be directly responsible for Greenovative’s ERP System:

Odoo, ensure users get maximum benefit from them and provide IT support for the organization.
The ideal candidate should have experience dealing with technical issues such as ODOO troubleshooting and errors, backend programming for Odoo, email issues, and other technical issues.
The incumbent will provide support through a combination of strong technical and reporting skills, completion of work with high degree of diligence and accuracy and timeliness.
You should have experience troubleshooting systems and be skilled in database programming and software installation.
You will be key in helping Greenovative Solutions achieve key initiatives and goals and become an industry leader.

The company uses ODOO ERP System, please mention your experience with ODOO system.

You will be responsible for:

Providing high-level technical support
Designing, customizing and developing Odoo Apps as well as custom modules
Integration with other applications through APIs
Enhancing applications and functionalities that support business requirements
Possibilities to optimize softwares & services according to our workflows
Maintaining existing modules of the Odoo
Proficient with MAC and OS
Familiar with a range of software and hardware
Maintaining our wordpress website and our GSuite
Experience troubleshooting systems

The position requires a combination of programming skills (namely HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, python and XMl)

Strong knowledge of Python and Object-Oriented programming concepts.
Hands-on experience in working with Odoo Online
Complete understanding of ODOO framework, basic flow, and Odoo Default Modules i.e. Sales, Purchase
Knowledge of data models available in ODOO core.
Have knowledge about developing custom modules in ODOO.
should have built open APIs which allowed Odoo to connect to third-party applications

Nice to have knowledge about:

Designing and building the website front-end.
Able to convert pixel perfect PSD to WordPress (Elementor)
Maintain and update WordPress website
Designing and implementing new features and functionality
Develop plugins and themes to cater to custom requirements (e.g. API calls)

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
2-5 years of experience working in IT operations
Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems and ERP systems
Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize
Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices
