In this role, you are part of our Human Resource team, an independent division within GSS Management, which works solely with Human Resource. As Human Resources Manager, you will provide strategic advice and counsel on talent matters to GSS Intertrade business, supporting and working closely with business leaders to drive business results through talent strategies that attract and retain the best talent. You are accountable for enabling a high level of employee engagement leading to a superior client experience and sustainable value creation for lines of business. HR Manager will create policies and procedure for the efficiency of business activities. The HR Manager will work in a holistic approach with organizational objective by designing and implementing various policies, procedures and programs to provide effective and better return on investment spend on employees.

As a Human Resource Manager, you play a critical role in GSS’s Talent Care Centre by providing creative and innovative talent sourcing strategies that align to our diverse organizational objectives. Identifying and connecting with talent will take on many forms such as cold calling, community event participation, Internet research and data mining; this is a hands on role that requires a tenacity and drive to identify technical talent.  You are expected to be the “go to person” for competitive business and talent market intelligence for your assigned skill domains.  This is accomplished by leveraging your professional experience and having your finger on the pulse of various talent markets. To be successful you will need prior technical talent sourcing/recruiting experience with a demonstrated ability at being creative in sleuthing-out talent. 

As an HR manager, you need to support and partner with Initiatives Manager to implement HR initiatives to lead, enable & support enterprise. Apply HR Data Management, you will be responsible to drive quality assurance within the various HR systems by assessing, researching and analyzing and documenting business and system needs in order to resolve business systems issues by recommending business solutions that meets stakeholder needs.

Human Resource Manager Job Duties:

-Identify improvements on the workflow/processes and collaborate with team to implement necessary changes.

-Lead day-to-day processes and projects to identify, correct and re-engineer HR processes to ensure quality data.

-Develop efficiencies and/or streamline processes for data quality reporting.

-Liaise with HR stakeholders providing coaching and direction as required.

-Adopts a continuous improvement mindset by proactively identifying and recommending solutions to recurring errors and process efficiency and effectiveness enhancements.

-Align with Executives and business leaders in the planning and execution of overall business strategies, and advise on potential HR contributions, solutions, implications and risks of proposed business initiatives.

-Advance and execute the strategic objectives. Implement and communicate HR programs and initiatives.

-Assess and strengthen leadership depth and employee capability through integrated leadership programs, development opportunities and learning interventions.

-Provide direction in establishing performance management practices/processes for the business in line with business strategy and culture; coach leadership in execution.

-Advise on business and best practice strategies to source, retain and develop the best talent in order to meet business needs.

-Ensure that the organization and all legal entities meet corporate governance and legal requirements.

-Develop and implement initiatives that will transform organizational culture required to deliver on business strategy. Reinforce and embed new and emerging change agenda through implementation of targeted HR and business initiatives, while supporting leader and employees through the process.

- Conduct high-level data analysis and draw value-add insights that are aligned platform priorities and People Strategies.

-Source, develop and distribute tools, templates and materials (communication, presentations, etc.)

-Responsible for clearly articulating the strategy/vision for initiatives and working with project teams to translate that into a all-inclusive set of deliverables for which the role will ensure ongoing alignment of delivery to the stated strategy.

-Development and implementation of HR initiatives; Talent Management, Performance Management and Year-end Processes including Employee Communications and Promotions.

-Support the co-ordination of interview scheduling and selection tests with candidates, as required.

-Review CVs and credentials for suitability of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to position requirements using appropriate selection techniques.

-Conduct preliminary phone interviews/screens with selected candidates to further validate skills, experience and knowledge in relation to position requirements using behavioral-based interview techniques. Conducts face to face interview as requested by the business. Manage the front to back process for every hire.

-Provide ongoing sourcing strategy advice, consultation, and education to the recruitment teams.

-Be an ambassador sharing the GSS story, representing our values and vision while highlighting exciting career opportunities.

-Schedule interviews, coordinating candidates, hiring managers, Senior Recruitment Manager or Recruiters calendars, booking rooms and facilities (eg; video confrencing) as required.

-Produce and issue offer letters, contracts and other documentations promptly, accurately and efficiently and is signed off as required including completion of all recruitment administration against deadlines such as offer letter return dates, offer letter issue dates, following up wherever required to ensure all administration is completed.

-Track completion of pre-employment screening, coordinating and obtaining documentation, ensure candidates required information to be up to date, regularly monitoring the completion of pre-employment checks in line and employee ID creation notifications to candidates and hiring managers.

-Ensure all personnel files (p-files) are update with the relevant documentation (eg; signed contracts, pre-employment screening report and other documentations) for all hiring and perform any other recruitment related administrative duties.

-Manage general queries from candidates, hiring managers, vendors, agencies and team members, identifying and assisting with any issues.

-Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, recording all relevant details, keeping the in house system up-to-date at all times and consolidating data/details for monthly reports.

-Creating and updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.

-Creating a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; recommending changes.

-Creates orientation and training programs.

-Maintains human resource staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.

-Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors.

-Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.

-Maintains a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluations; preparing pay budgets; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions.

-Completes human resource operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.

-Maintains employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to management; directing the processing of benefit claims; obtaining and evaluating benefit contract bids; awarding benefit contracts; designing and conducting educational programs on benefit programs.

-Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings.

-Maintains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records.

-Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

 JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:

A minimum Masters degree in Human Resource Management or relevant field, plus demonstrated management qualifications might suffice.

A minimum of 5 years' experience in managing a team in day-to-day operations in a fast -paced environment.

Experience:

-5+ years of advanced experience in Human Resources including talent management, leadership development, workforce planning and compensation.

-Ability to prioritize high volume; competing priorities for multiple stakeholders and in turn deliver balance of advice and counsel with strong execution capabilities.

-Excellent relationship building and negotiation skills combined with a consultative mindset.

-Prior experience with candidate relationship management systems.

-Ability to understand, assess and respond to complex situations and provide strategic solutions.

-Strong business acumen and consulting orientation at the executive level.

-Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities

Skills:

 -Experience working in a fast-paced environment

-Strong organization skills and attention to detail with the ability to multi-task effectively

-Strong full life-cycle recruitment experience in financial services; either from an in-house HR environment, or a recruitment agency 

-A clear understanding of the recruitment process and must have strong sourcing skills to locate candidates with difficult to find skill sets

-Excellent analytical skills including ability to sort through data quickly.

-Strong Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills

-Strong verbal and written communications skills

-Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

-High level of professionalism with and familiar with working with confidential information

-General knowledge of end-to-end project management lifecycle

-Familiarity with project management methodologies

-Accepts and successfully executes change, working in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team
