Ensure import / export shipments conform to government rules and regulations.
Stay abreast with changes in customs Rules and sales tax law while updating IEL, Accounts and Finance Departments as well on regular basis.
Review, documents and update process of custom clearance and sales tax return submission while suggesting improvements to management.
Implement approved process of SRO 327 in letter and spirit while ensuring company objectives of cost efficiency are met.
Coordinate with key staff in IEL (Import Export Logistics) department, production department and business development division to verify import and export orders, product weights and volumes.
Provide support to product development team regarding custom Rules of any imported raw materials sourced for new product development.
Prepare accurate sales tax returns and submit to sales tax department on time.
Ensure complete and up to date record is maintained as required under the Act for audit purposes.
Assist CFO in the calculation of tariffs, duties, custom Rules charges.
Ensure complete and up to date record is maintained as required under SRO 327 for audit purposes.
Calculate consumption of raw material imported under SRO 327 for the purpose of getting analysis certificate after consulting PPC (Production Planning & Control) and production departments.
Provide tax information for budgeting planning.
Prepare accurate SRO 327 returns and submit to customs department on time.
Manage sales tax audits and provide the requisite record to the FBR (Federal Board of Revenue) authorities.
Managing SRO 327 audit by Customs authorities and providing them with all the data necessary for the purpose of audit.
Replying to notices form FBR(Customs) regarding SRO 327.
Handle IOCO (Input Output Co-efficient Organization) matters including any data preparation for the purpose of getting analysis certificate.
Manage WEBOC Matters.
Conduct quarterly meetings for setting / reviewing / revising KPIs and KRAs of immediate staff. As well as conduct time to time performance monitoring sessions (as & when required).
Perform Performance evaluations of immediate staff on quarterly basis.
Ensure Proper Training & Development of the Staff wherever & whenever needed through performance appraisal.
Developing department staff through formal and informal coaching, counseling & mentoring sessions.
Succession Planning: Develop a successor of himself as well as successors of his immediate subordinates.
Do final technical selection interview of staff needed to be hired under him.
