- Directs and coordinates the activities of all security personnel including the uniformed security guards, engaged in the implementation of management safety and security procedures for the hotel.
- Develops and recommends to management, safety and security measures to safeguard:
- VIP’s and other guests.
- Special functions in the hotel.
- Hotel properties and employees.
- Concessionaire areas.
- Vehicles in the hotel parking areas.
- Plans and schedules the day to day activities of all Security personnel, including uniformed Security Guards, to ensure that all hotel areas are properly and adequately secured at all times.
- Coordinates with outside police agencies in the investigation and handling of crimes, accidents, etc involving the hotel, its employees or its guests.
- Conducts trainings, meetings among hotel personnel to instruct them on the use of proper security measures.
- Prepares daily incident report, requisitions and other inter-office memoranda; fills out absentee.
- Prepares annual security goals; develops working plan to carry out goals, compares actual accomplishments goals periodically and takes necessary corrective action.
- Checks performance of personnel, maintains logbooks of security department to determine need for action or follow-up work; corrects mistakes or in adequacies of personnel.
- Visits residence of employees who have been absent for abnormal periods of time upon request of personnel to determine reason for absence, informs personnel of findings.
- Develop formal training plan and implement on-the-job training session for the employees working under him.
- Participate in preparation for the departmental budget and goals.
- Recommends application for leave of his staff and prepare absentee reports.
- Prepare periodical appraisal reports of performance of his staff.
- Allocate duties to subordinate staff in his department approves their overtime.
- He must check his staff and fill the supervisors staff inspection report which contains the column of leave/absence, late arrival, shoe shine, shave and grooming, uniform, cleanliness, etc and state the remedial action /measure taken against each employee of his section by him regarding discrepancies and submit the same to the superior on daily basis.
- Attends monthly security department meetings and suggest/recommends any change for improvement of service and implement the decision taken in the meeting.
Performs duties common to all supervisors and other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
