Hostings House seeks an experienced PHP developer to work on its product line, preferably with hands-on experience, knowledge and convenience of working within Laravel framework. Successful candidate is required to work in both roles, as a team player working jointly in the process of application development lifecycle, or independently working on his/her own modules. Successfully candidate will swiftly be able to.
- Code, test, debug, document, and install both new programs/technologies and do changes to existing programs/technologies of a complex nature with assistance of higher level personnel.
- Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers
- Development of efficient, testable, and reusable modules
- Solving complex performance problems and architectural challenges
- Integration of data storage solutions
- Participate in code reviews to represent reviewed work for adherence to standards and specifications.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks such as Laravel
- Understanding the fully synchronous behavior of PHP
- Understanding of MVC design patterns
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Advanced Knowledge of object oriented PHP programming
- Understanding accessibility and security compliance
- Strong knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions
- Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
- User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
- Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
- Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds
- Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
- Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
