About the Job:

Work with and lead the team of developers for Android application development.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Lead implementation for all Android applications at the organization
  • Communicate with Tech Lead, Engineering Head, Product Owner and Project Manager; as well as QA and DevOps
  • Apply best practices as recommended by Google and the AOSP
  • Publish and maintain applications on the Google PlayStore
  • Inspire a culture of coaching, learning, and improvement in the team

Qualifications and Skills

  • Expertise on Android development with Kotlin, AndroidX, and Jetpack libraries
  • In depth knowledge of RESTful CRUD APIs and the HTTP protocol
  • Understanding of security practices which need to be part of the implementation
  • Good communication and excellent documentation skills
  • Practical understanding of SOLID principles
  • Good knowledge of design patterns, especially MVVM on Android
  • Expertise with Google PlayStore and Developer Console
  • Knowledge of iOS development and Apple AppStore would be a huge advantage

Education Requirement: No formal education is required, but a bachelor’s in computer science is a plus.
