ICU Secure (PVT) Limited was set up to deliver remote monitoring and administrative services to its UK based parent company who offers tailored temporary site security services to its UK-based clients primarily in the construction industry. Having successfully completed a trial over the last 12 months the decision has been taken to permanently relocate the remote monitoring and administrative services to Islamabad.
The company now has an opening for a Systems & Network Engineer to facilitate its growth and to secure its service delivery capability from outages/disruption however caused. The engineer will report in the first instance to the company’s UK-based Senior Network Engineer & Analyst for all matters technical whilst he shall also report in the first instance to the Islamabad-based Operations Manager for all matters administrative.
The successful candidate will be tasked with ensuring 100% uptime of the service by pro-active monitoring of system and network performance and deployment of appropriate contingency systems to mitigate risk. THIS IS NOT A 9AM-5PM ROLE and will require working set hours plus being on-call for troubleshooting and support as and when required.
The candidate will also assist the Islamabad-based Operations Manager in the day-today operation of the facility and its people in order to ensure smooth operation and that performance targets are being met.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Required Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Telecoms, Electronics or Computing.
● Minimum of 3 years of job related experience in addition to a degree within the same field.
● CCNA/CCNP or JNCIP.
Required Skills/Experience:
● Excellent Knowledge of TCP/IP.
● Good knowledge and experience of configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting of Fixed line and Wireless Networks including ADSL, ADSL2+ Annex M, VDSL, 3G, 4G, Vsat and Wifi and AP, Repeater and Bridges.
● Good knowledge and experience of configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers and switches via CLI.
● Good knowledge/understanding of the following technology areas: BGP, MP-BGP, VRF, DMVPN, EIGRP, GRE, HSRP, GLBP, IPSEC, SSL, AAA, SNMP, VLAN, QOS/class of services, VoIP, Network Management Practices, Load balancing and VPN.
● Experience with network capacity planning, network security principles and general network management best practices.
● Knowledge/experience of configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting Windows workstations.
● Knowledge and experience of configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting edge devices such as IP Cameras.
● Excellent written & verbal communication, active listening, & strong presentation skills.
● Ability to work under pressure & meet tight timescales.
