Desired Skills:

In-depth Knowledge of JAVA
Knowledge/experience of machine communication (various I/O interfaces e.g. RS232, RS485, RS422, CAN, Ethernet, USB etc. and hands on experience of these I/O interfaces).
Understanding of various Microcontroller/Microprocessor Architectures
Experience in GE Predix platform is a big plus.
Demonstrated applied LEAN 6 Sigma competency.
Demonstrated experience with regulatory compliance process, and quality management process in the context of software development.
Experience in working with global teams.
Should have knowledge about SCADA, Node.js, Python.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Job Requirements:

Preferably electrical engineer.· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related software engineering field.
5 years of experience in developing software and in the software development life cycle.
Extensive experience with Java / JEE.
Working knowledge in configuration management tools such as SVN/GIT.
Experience working with GIT, Maven or Gradle, Cloud Foundry, Web Services.
Expert in core data structures as well as algorithms, and has the ability to implement them using language of choice when necessary.

Job Description includes, but is not limited to:

Software development and design on GE Predix platform using Java / JEE.
Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile, software and product security, scalability, documentation practices, and testing techniques.
Understand core data structures and algorithms and implements them using language of choice.
Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project.
Support impact assessment and decision related to technology choices, design / architectural considerations and implementation strategy.
Support architecture and design efforts across the product / multiple product versions and is an expert in architecting custom solutions off the base product.
Collaborate with system engineers, data scientists, frontend developers and software developers to implement solutions that are aligned with and extend shared platforms and solutions.
Demonstrate the ability to help team members.
Demonstrate awareness about competitors and industry
