Punjab Saaf Pani Company – North (PSPC-North) has been mandated by the Government of the Punjab to plan, design, manage and execute innovative safe drinking water solutions to over 56 million people in rural areas of the Punjab province. PSPC-North is looking for a dynamic professional for the following position;

The Regional Manager’s role exits to support the Manager Community Mobilization in monitoring and supervising the work of the NGOs and ensuring delivery of quality water to his/ her region. Successful performance of this role requires a versatile and disciplined approach to work along with proven record in collaborating with local governments, rural communities and NGOs.

Administrative

1.       Acts as liaison between Manager Community Mobilization and site mobilizers.

2.      Coordinate with local administration for project sustainability and support to link such projects with existing line structures within the local administrations where applicable.

3.      Maintain an updated contact list of all stakeholders such as NGOs, local government bodies, community leaders etc.

4.      Develop periodic plans for the social mobilizers based on the work plan communicated by Manager Community Mobilization and convey it to relevant community mobilizers.

Contract management

5.      Review the periodic activity reports received from site social mobilizers and consolidate the findings of various sites.

6.      Appraise and verify the work performed by NGOs to their Terms of Reference.

Keep record of the NGOs deliverables and ensure the contractual requirements are met and communicating any non-compliance to the Manager Community Mobilization.

1.       Do surprise inspections of the sites.

Reporting

2.      Assess and report any problems faced in project execution to Manager Community Mobilization.

3.      Review the survey reports and work documents received from NGOs, assessing the key issues found and drafting a summary for Manager Community Mobilization.

4.      Review the inception reports and send them to the Manager Community mobilizers along with his/her comments.

5.      Prepare GAP report of proposed plan with its actual status at regional level.

Other Responsibilities

6.      Legalize and complete all documentation of ‘Sahulat Centers’ in collaboration with the local Government Representatives.

7.      Maintain and update the systematic database on socio-economic features of the villages and local communities for creating (Village Profile)

8.      Oversee the formation of the Saaf Pani Committees, assess their performance and make appropriate recommendations to the relevant community mobilizer.

9.       Direct social mobilizers to verify the work for which invoices have been raised by the NGOs.

10.     Resolve any problems from the local community faced by the NGOs.
