Senior DevOps Engineer

A DevOps Engineer with experience creating fully automated CI/CD pipelines is sought. With companywide commitment to automation and integration using cloud technologies this DevOps Engineer will be given chance to play a key role on a new, cutting edge DevOps roadmap within a highly tech driven environment.

On a day to day basis this DevOps engineer will use a strong software development lifecycle understanding to contribute heavily to defining a new automated environment so experience with AWS, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible and associated technologies would be a real plus.

Required Skills:

This DevOps Engineers should have most of the following key skills:

Minimum experience of 3 years as a DevOps Engineer is MUST.
Demonstrable experience of installing, maintaining and working with Linux (Ideally Centos) systems.
Experience with automation tools such as PowerShell, CloudFormation, Terraform.
Extensive CI/CD development and deployment experience using Jenkins.
Experience with containerization tools e.g. Docker.
Extensive knowledge and experience of Kubernetes deployment and management.
Configuration tool understanding - Ansible, Puppet, Chef etc.
Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with deploying in cloud environments including AWS (Lambda, EKS and EC2) and Google Platform.
Demonstrable experience of using VCS (Version Control System) in team environments. E.g. GIT, GitHub, BitBucket.
Configuration management/Infrastructure-as-Code principles.
A real passion for leading internal education on new DevOps technologies

Preferred Skills:

Can demonstrate a firm grasp of DevOps and Agile methodologies
Demonstrable experience of Puppet, LDAP, Nexus

Role & Responsibilities:

Deliver DevOps pipelines that apply automation to the SDLC process while also improving efficiency, security and stability
Developing and owning a DevOps environment, playing a key role in establishing this
Working on an AWS environment, using Jenkins for CI/CD and Python for programming.
Maintaining and owning their infrastructure
Partnering with developers to expand our architecture and support next-generational solutions
Being a core team member alongside skilled engineers to build data pipelines and be hands on with mass data clusters.
