Network & Systems Administrator

Provide effective and timely responses to technology and application issues that arise in support of user requests.  Diagnose hardware and software problems, and replace defective components.  Monitor the performance, reliability and capacity of company application servers and execute appropriate changes as needed.  Perform common administration tasks on critical server, network and peripheral equipment, ensuring industry standard configurations and security models.  Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for IT systems and processes  Manage data backups and disaster recovery operations  Manage IT inventory purchasing & coordination with vendor  Maintain network servers such as file servers, VPN gateways, intrusion prevention systems.  Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, personal digital assistants, Smartphone’s, software deployment, security updates and patches.  Analyzes, administers and maintains voice, video, and/or data communications networks  Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures in order to protect data, software, and hardware.  Managing & working on open source technologies (Centos, Debian & Ubuntu etc)  Manage & maintain organization database servers.  Manages the usage and performance of voice, video and/or data communications networks.  Participates in the development and implementation of network-related procedures and standards.  Interfaces with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance.  Maintains current knowledge of relevant hardware and software applications as assigned.  Configure, manage & maintain virtualization infrastructure. (ESXI, VMware etc)  Managing & monitoring stash, jira & confluence servers
