Coach (Education)

The Innovative Teaching Institute (ITI) is a non-profit organisation owned by the Swedish international school operator Watma Group. We are a global organisation and our employees work together with each other and exchange ideas on an international level. Our mission is to work with school leaders and teachers enabling them to become self-sustaining professional practitioners. We use action research as pedagogical approach to help our school partners realize the full potential of their most valuable asset: the teachers.

Job Description

Now, we are looking for coaches who will join us in our pursuit of raising the standard of education in Pakistan. To qualify as a coach, it is essential that you have a group of people to practice action research on, for instance as a teacher. The candidates accepted to our exclusive action research programme will receive a scholarship (covering all costs) and a certificate upon completion of the training. After successfully completed training, you are certified to start working as an ITI coach. As certified coach, you will earn an extra income. The training programme will include nine seminars (including workshops) and each seminar is approximately two hours. During the seminars, we will train you in our unique action research-based programme. You will learn about the theoretical framework and how to put our science-based approach into practice. Then, as a qualified coach, you will lead the continuous professional development of teachers (CPD) at both private and state schools in the Punjab region.

We have already launched our action research programme in a number of schools in Sweden. It has been very successful and met with enthusiasm among the teachers. As a coach, you will be trained by Swedish coaches both in real life and online.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a passionate teacher with an outgoing personality.

You have a lot of experience from public speaking in different context and you know how to lead people successfully.

You are well organised and a great communicator.

The right candidate possesses entrepreneurial skills and is socially competent.

He/She is fluent in English and Urdu.

You work well on your own as well as with other people.

We also expect the candidate to have good computer skills.

You will be working closely together with other qualified coaches and you will be responsible to the Academic Director.
