The Regional Sales Manager shall:

  • Develop sales strategies and set/agree on business targets in coordination with GM Sales & Marketing; and coordinate with the ASM(s), Order Bookers, Salesmen and Display Center Management in order to guide and motivate all and facilitate them to achieve the desired business targets (to be allotted/agreed);
  • Allocate target areas to ASMs, Order Bookers and Salesmen; Distribute /allocate Business Targets to ASMs, Order Bookers and Salesmen; Monitor the sales team's individual performance and motivate them to reach and exceed business targets (as allotted/agreed); help and guide team members to overcome any hurdles or difficulties in performing duties to meet and exceed targets;
  • Be responsible for overseeing Region’s overall sales operations on daily, weekly and monthly basis, meeting targets and managing the various sales teams in the region; Maintain and increase sales of company's products/ services and enhance outreach; Focus on Target Items and clearance of Slow-running items;
  • Achieve growth and motivate to surpass business/sales targets by successfully managing the ASMs, Order Bookers and Salesmen; achieve the targets and higher goals set for the Region/Zones/Areas and Display Centers; Reset goals/direction when so required with additional knowledge or changing market conditions;
  • visit the target Market with team when required and report to the GM S&M and higher Management, giving up-to-date feedback; perform Market Analysis and Stress Management; monitor Display Center performance and submit comparative reports to GM Sales and Marketing;
  • Provide Service to the customers; record the problems of the Customers and Solve their Issues; Collect customer feedback and market research; report customer issues to GM Sales and Marketing;  facilitate the analysis of Complaints and taking appropriate steps to resolve/remove recurring bugs;
  • Contribute to minimize Customer Complaints; suggest improvements to ensure quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the Display Center for the avoidance of any product complaints in the region or customer dissatisfaction of service support;
  • Put in efforts and motivate the team to sell Targeted Items;
  • Actively monitor budgeted targets on daily basis, to ensure the achievement of maximum business targets effectively, while keeping overheads low or optimum;
  • Follow and achieve Aggregate of Total Sales of Display, Order Bookers, Salesmen and ASMs, over and above the agreed target of Display and Area Order Bookers ;
  • Submit Daily & Periodic Reports to GM Sales & Marketing:

  • Obtain daily reports from Displays, ASMs, Order Bookers and consolidate to generate RSM’s Daily Sales Report;
  • Regularly discuss with GM S&M any shortfall/deviation and submit possible reasons and suggest a solution for any impediments, re-alignment or additional measures required in order to achieve and exceed agreed targets;
  • Coordinate with Head Office Marketing Department for marketing related matters, display material requirements and supplies etc.; control the ceiling limit of expense as allowable under the approved limit (current policy prescribes expense on marketing activities of any distributor, OBS, and shops etc.); 
  • Coordinate with other Display Centers /Branches in mutual support of the company’s core business and occasional special issues in the city /town /region conveniently covered by the supporting Display Center; give support when solicited in light of “one team one goal” basis; perform any other official duty or special assignment as directed by the General Manager Sales & Marketing and/or Senior Management
