Roles and Responsibilities:

Program Management & Development:

  • Regularly mentor Gender support group members and conduct monthly meeting with GSG members as per project goal.
  • Technically guide and support GBV team using an Inter-Agency guidelines in BV case management.
  • Provide case management services to registered GBV survivors and obtained feedback from all registered survivors as per IASC tools.
  •  Conduct and facilitate GBV awareness activities i-e awareness session, events, seminars, coordination meetings and arrange activities on international days related to GBV.
  • Conduct focus session with community elders/religious leaders and adolescents on GBV basic concepts.
  • Provide capacity building training to Gender support groups using participatory methods and evaluations, pre- and post- tests to monitor training effectiveness.
  • Compile training reports and activities reports.
  • Facilitate training for camp-based health staff and partners organizations in/out camp as per need.
  • Conduct exit interviews, KAP surveys, FGD and GSG capacity assessment and provide technical support to address identified needs.
  • Identify, document success stories, best practices and lessons learned. Facilitate the community to pass their complaints to the management through CBFRM in a transparent manner.

Communications:

 

  • Assist in the development of GBV IEC awareness materials.
  • Assist GBV team in the development and testing of Behavior Change Communication (BCC) materials on GBV and violence prevention in communities.
  • Submit timely technical reports in provided format to Communication department.

 

Emergency Response:

  • Maintain flexibility to take on added responsibilities as and when needed.
  • Part of team conducting assessments, reviews and self-inspections.

·         Maintains a clear understanding of International Medical Corps and donor compliance requirements and keep ethical standards and adhere to the standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Required Experience & Qualifications 

  • University degree in Sociology, Law, Psychology or Gender Studies.
  • Minimum of five (5) years professional experience in Gender Based Violence.
  • Can speak fluently and understand rigorously PASHTO language.
  • Previous experience as a Trainer or attended TOT training with a reputable organization.
  • Will have excellent communications skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Extremely flexible, and have the ability to cope with stressful situations and frustrations.
  • Computer proficiency is a Must.
