Location: Peshawar (Frequent travelling to field locations (Jamrud, Bara & Landi Kotal Tehsils of Khyber tribal district)

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Care for and treat women during prenatal, natal, and postnatal periods.

• Care for women during pregnancy and childbirth.

• Prescribe or administer therapy, medication, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury to the pregnant women.

• Perform cesarean sections or other surgical procedures as needed to preserve patients' health and deliver babies safely.

• Analyze records, reports, test results, or examination information to diagnose medical condition of pregnant women.

• Explain medical procedures or test results to patients or family members. Act in a respectful and culturally sensitive manner towards the patients.

• Advise patients and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.

• Refer patient to medical specialist or other practitioner when necessary.

• Supervise and coordinate activities of WMOs, nurses and other medical staff.

• Prepare organizational reports on birth, death, and disease statistics and share with Project Coordinator timely.

• Adhere to organization Code of Conduct and internationally accepted humanitarian principles.

• Act in a respectful and culturally sensitive manner towards other colleagues & community.

Emergency Response:

• Maintain flexibility to take on added responsibilities as and when needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required Experience & Qualifications

- M.B.B.S Degree from P.M.D.C recognized Medical College.

- Specialization in Gynecology or Obstetrics.

- Valid registration of Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC).

- Completed 2 years house job in a government hospital.

- Will have excellent communications skills, both oral and written.

- Demonstrated creativity, ability to apply innovative thinking and problem solving skills.
