Job Overview/Summary:

Under the supervision of Senior Program Development Manager, Pre-Award Officer’s primary responsibility will be to assist the Pre-Award in day-to-day Flood Response program development related tasks in-country office.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Assist Senior Program Development Manager in managing and coordinating grant application and pre-award processes. 
  • Assist the Senior Program Development Manager in strategic and tactical discussions regarding the emergency funding opportunities. 
  • Contribute to the internal approval processes of funding opportunities. 
  • Maintains funding opportunity databases and track pending awards; track deadlines to ensure proposals are submitted on time. 
  • Provide a smooth transition of grant to post-award through managing OTIS and other necessary documentation and communication. 
  • Acquire and disseminate updated information regarding donor formats (concept note and proposal) and other donors’ related information. 
  • Participating in project design meeting and preparing meeting minutes and action points. 
  • Ensure that exemplar dedications at the design stage are addressed and documented for each proposal/CN. 
  • Maintain and update opportunity tracker regularly •
  • Support Senior Program Development Manager in maintaining donors’ scoping/mapping and keep donors’ engagement plan up to date 
  • Work with dedication, integrity and accountability to the “IRC Way” – Global Standards for Professional Conduct. 
  • Perform other duties, including administrative, as necessary and/or as requested.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Master’s degree in social sciences, or relevant field. Work Experience: At least 1 (one) years of work experience on similar role Demonstrated Skills and Competencies: 
  • Familiarity with budgeting using MS Excel 
  • Good interpersonal skills •
  • Excellent computer skills and competency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint; •
  • Excellent drafting skills in English. • Clear and precise writing style. •
  • Logical thinking. • Attention to detail. • Knowledge of logical framework,

Language Skills:

Good written and spoken English and Urdu skills; The IRC Core Values and Commitments.
