What the first 30-60-90 days in the job will look like?

Within 30 days you will:
Attend and graduate from our company-wide on boarding process along with detailed orientation program where you will learn Jazz’s values, business, and products
Meet with the C & RA team to understand the strategy of the function in line with CEO strategy and company road map.
Meet with internal stakeholders in Finance, Business to Business (B2B), Legal and Technology.
Meet with external stakeholders like Linked Direct International (LDI) and Cellular Mobile Operators(CMO)
 
Within 60 days, you will:
Be Responsible for issuance of interconnect invoices to other mobile and LDI operators
Be Responsible for billing & settlement with Mobile and LDI Operators as per provisions of interconnect agreements.
Will Coordinate with Technology team for Call Detail Record (CDR) reconciliations of interconnect traffic
Will Coordinate with Finance team for processing of invoices for interconnect payments
Will Coordinate with interconnect partners and internal teams for settlement of billing disputes.
Will Serve reminders/notices to operators on non-payment within due date.
 
Within 90 days to onwards you will:
Analyze interconnect invoices received from other operators for payment processing as per agreement.
Maintain record of interconnect traffic, Invoices, payments/receivables, & bank guarantees
Prepare periodic reports for management consumption
Analyze the traffic trends to calculate the financial exposure of Link Direct International (LDI) operators and issue notices for bank guarantee enhancement, where required
Monitor daily traffic trends and keep the line manager apprised of any anomaly
Coordinate with Finance / Legal team for bank guarantee encashment on non-receipt of payments

We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills to be able to advocate/defend the Interconnect domain of what is right—even if it comes to conflict/disagreement with CEO—with professionalism, maturity, and a balanced, holistic view of any competing viewpoints
 
A bit about us
Regulatory & Interconnect Affairs Department is the custodian of all communication license issued to Pakistan Mobile Communications Limited and is responsible for the compliance of these licenses in accordance with the Act, Rules and Regulations. This department comprises of three sub-functions naming:
·Interconnect Affairs: Function is managing commercial arrangements and relationships for national and international gateways, to ensure competitive interconnection availability. The domain is also responsible for Interfacing with the Interconnect billing and settlements team to ensure all rates are invoiced and settled correctly within defined timelines.
·Licensing Affairs:  Function is mainly responsible for the compliance of all licenses. Licensing affairs team is also responsible for all regulatory payments, Merger compliance, approvals of new packages, Quality of Service audits and resolution of customer complaints within defined timelines.
·Regulatory Affairs: Function is responsible to work on consultation processes of new telecom rules, regulations, frameworks and policies with the objective of meeting Jazz business needs. Team is responsible to lead regulatory strategic projects like, new/renew of licenses, approval of new products, services and BTS sites from relevant Regulatory bodies. Liaison and bidding on Universal Service Fund subsidy projects comes under the domain of regulatory affairs team as well.   

The structure of the team you will join is:
A three (03) member’s team with no sub teams.

The main priority of the team as a whole is:
To manage the interconnect domain
