Experienced procurement officer and purchaser with a minumum of 3-5 years experience in procurement and purchase of industrial and commercial items in the manufacturing or construction sectors.

Must be willing to do market visits and fieldwork

Job responsibilities include:

Sourcing products and suppliers in the areas office equipment, packaging material, mechanical spares (motors, belts, bearings, pneumatic fittings, HVAC material, pumps, tools, rubber items, etc), production supplies (SS/MS/GI/Aluminum Sheets, pipes, rods, other structural material, etc)

Identifying potential suppliers through market visits and auditing the existing suppliers

Evaluating suppliers on the basis of their reliability, quality, price competitiveness, and delivery timeliness

Sourcing competitive price quotations and negotiating prices with vendors

Building and managing relationships with suppliers

Maintaining and tracking product prices
