As a System Administrator and a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for the complete IT Infrastructure and the automated build/test/deploy system that we use to manage our software development. You will ensure that our world-class infrastructure is always available, responsive, and capable of meeting the diverse needs of a dynamic and high-powered development team. You will work directly with the development team to assess and prioritize the current and upcoming needs of the organization, design/build/deploy new automation for all aspects of our development lifecycle, and maintain, troubleshoot and fix issues that impede our team’s progress.
What you’ll be doing:
Managing, configuring and enhancing the tools we use to get things done ( JIRA, Jenkins, Bitbucket)
Leveraging cutting edge technologies like Fargate, Docker, designing and building new infrastructure features to increase product quality, decrease cycle time, and improve developer efficiency
Becoming a master of our current product infrastructure
Keeping automated infrastructure up-to-date as dependent technologies evolve and scale
Automating every aspect of our development lifecycle and help us in our mission to achieve continuous delivery
Creating new tools to increase departmental visibility into product quality, performance and releasability
Managing entire infrastructure which includes configuration, and administration of
Web servers, Database administration, maintenance and production support of relational databases, new servers setups,
virtualization, vulnerability scans & security patches on all servers/domains.
implementation of disaster recovery infrastructure.
monitoring the health of applications & servers
Managing local Linux applications like Squid, Apache, DNS, DHCP, Samba, NFS, Bugzilla, Sendmail & hardware firewalls like
Administration of Big data tools like Elastic Search, Kafka, Zookeeper, and Kibana etc.
Automated the backup process using bash scripting and tools like rsnapshot & innobackupex.
providing excellent service to internal and external customers.
Setup AWS Linux Servers for Projects and install required software in need of analytics.
Planning & deployment of many small/medium network installations consisting of servers & desktops to include every detail down to the wiring & internet/WAN connectivity
Involved in decommissioning servers project as per the company procedures and update the hardware inventory
About You:
Passionate about DevOps, Release Engineering and trends including CI/CD
Bachelors in Computer Science or Engineering
Excellent proficiency working in AWS
Experience designing and building software or software systems in enterprise software or Saas/Paas environment
A strong knack for quickly learning complex technical concepts & Strong oral, written, and presentation skills
Mastery of Git (or similar tool)
Fluency in at least one scripting language
