Summary of Role
1- Generate and update website content (prodcuts, content, promotions)
2- Work with agencies to build traffic and sales via the website (PPC agency, email marketing provider, etc)
3- Plan, define and implement website changes and functional improvements
4- Maintain and update the online marketing plan for the website
Key Experience
1- Understanding of the disciplines required to drive the traffic to retail webdsites (PPC, email marketing, link generation, online PR, SEO, offline marketing and PR, Affiliate programmes, etc)
2- Understanding of order management / customer fullfilment in an e-commerce context
3- Experience using packages like Excel and Photoshop
4- Computer literate and understanding of basic web technologies (FTP, browsers, basic HTML, data files)
5- Familiar with data management
6- Previous experience of website or e-commerce CMS
7- Basic understanding of Google products such as Webmaster Tools and Analytic woud be desirable
8- Experience of Magento would be a plus
Website
1- Update product information and content on the website
2- Create banners, images, promotions etc for display on the website (using products like Photoshop)
3- Update content managed areas (copy & artwork)
4- Manage website configuration & parameters (e.g. payment options, stock management)
5- Investigate and report any operation/technical issues arising
6- Scope and document ongoing website functional projects/improvements
7- Test and deploy funtional projects/improvements
8- Liaise with e-commerce agency regarding the day to day management of the website
9- Liaise with internal resources regarding the day to day management of the website
10- Evaluate approaches and strategies to improve website sales conversions and customer engagement
Marketing
1- Understanding and develop sources of traffic (& the factors that influence it): email, SEO, PPC, affiliates, social media, catalogues etc
2- Liaise with agencies or in-house teams to implement and support campaigns
3- Investigate , evaluate and assess new ways of generating additional traffic/orders
4- Produce reports to analyse the performance of all online marketing campaigns and promotions (via reports, analytic, surveys etc)
Measurement
1- To meet and exceed all agreed performance objectives (sales, conversions, engagement)
2- Continuous improvement of customer satisfaction
3- Meet internal service levels for website activity and management
4- Maintaining an excellent level of service to the business
A candidate must have a degree in IT (MCS/MIT) from HEC recognized university
