Application Security Consultant

Job Title - Application Security Consultant

Required Experience - 3 Years+

Department - Compliance and security

Location - Lahore

Reporting - Head of Department

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Scanning source code, auditing results with development and/or security teams and offering plans for remediation of vulnerabilities.
Installing and configuring industry standard static code analysis products, such as Microfocus Fortify, IBM AppScan Source etc. onsite for customers.
Communicating technical application security concepts to customer staff, including developers, architects, and managers.
Training customer staff on application security and remediation of application security code defects.
Assessing and scoping of customer's application security needs.
Contributing to project planning and project deliverables.

Qualifications:

BS/MS Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Security, Engineering, or Information Technology
Overall 3+ years of experience with application security / vulnerability remediation work.
Minimum 1+ years of experience with SAST (Static Application Security Testing)
Subject matter expert on common security risks in web/mobile applications and web APIs.
Solid understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization.
Hands-on experience with application security tools like Burp Suite, ZAP, or MobSF.
Hands-on experience with SAST and DAST tools like Fortify, or Netsparker.
Hands-on experience with CI Systems such as Jenkins is a plus.

Preferred:

Fundamental understanding of software, computer, and network architectures.

Has strong problem solving, analytical, interpersonal, and ownership skills.

Must b flexible to travel (local, abroad) for different projects
